Bridges

Bridge that Gap!

Dental bridges are used to fill a gap between two teeth. The false tooth, called pontic, is attached to two crowned abutment teeth on either side of the gap. A bridge can also have metal or porcelain “wings” attached on both sides of the supporting teeth.

If you have a missing tooth and have neglected to fill the gap it created, you may develop one or several of the following conditions:

  1. Cavities (tooth decay)
  2. Gum disease
  3. Chewing complications
  4. Pronunciation difficulties
  5. Distorted smile or shape of your face
  6. Displacement of natural teeth around and above the gap

Act fast. Call us for a bridge evaluation before other problems arise.
